GOD RESIDES IN WORK

LORD BUDDHA

Budha, the great  :

Goutam Buddha, was born many times as a pious man before his final incarnations Buddha the enlightened one. The following happened in one of his earlier lives.

In that birth, Buddha went to many Gurus to get the answers to some questions on God like. "What is God?".. "Where does God reside?".. etc.

The strange 'Guru'  :

One of his Gurus advised him to meet another Guru living in a city. Don't underestimate this Guruji who looks like an ordinary man. He is a great- learned person indeed."

Lord Buddha and His Guru

The young would-be Buddha went to meet the learned 'Guru' and was horrified to find that he was a butcher. His body was smeared with blood and he was chopping flesh of a killed goat to sell it to a waiting customer!

The Butcher Guru

The would-be Buddha was baffled. However, when he expressed the purpose of his visit, the butcher asked him to wait. After he finished selling the meat, the butcher-Guru went for a bath and returned.

Butcher-Guru enlightens the would-be Buddha :

The would-be Buddha queried  several things          and was surprised at the depth of wisdom of the Butcher-Guru. All the  doubts of the young man were cleared. Finally, he asked his  basic questions:

1.  What is God?
-God is a 'Power' - a 'Power' that can do anything.  2.Where does God reside?
- God resides in the palace called - the Karma Yoga. 3.What is Karma Yoga ?
-  Just doing hard work is not Karma Yoga as many    people think.
-   A work becomes a karma Yoga only when    (
(a) It is accompanied by enough thinking (about the work itself)
  •      Before starting it,
  •      While doing it, and,
  •      After completing it.
(b)    It is hard work,
(c)    It is spread over a length oi time,
(d)   It goes on uninterrupted till the desired result is          achieved ,and,

-  If any one of these is absent, the work does not    become a Karma Yoga

Please justify your statement :

"He went on explaining and said, it is so because whenever you enter this palace. God will give you your desired result. It is proven. If you want you, too, can experiment and check it easily. He gives the desired result in this birth itself ("sometimes in two or three months and sometimes in a year or two depending on the type of the desire result ". )

A satisfied young Buddha decided to go into God's 'palace'.

MORAL OF THE STORY
