WHERE THERE IS WILL, THERE IS A WAY

VIDWAN: THE COURAGEOUS MINISTER

Vidwan : The courageous minister

Vidwan was the name of the minister of the king Virat. He was courageous and confident by nature but the king always felt Vidwan to be proud and over-confident. So the king wanted to teach him a lesson.

One day a secret message reached the king. A neighbouring king was planning to attack. The king asked Vidwan for his suggestions in this regard.

The king is annoyed at Vidwan :

Vidwan said, "Where there is will, there is a way". If we really want to win, we will win.

It does not matter if we have a big army or not.

Virat felt that Vidwan was trying to show off by talking big. He was angry, "OK, if so, let me see how you win!"

The angry king asks soldiers to bury Vidwan :

The angry king ordered his soldiers, "throw Vidwan into the well which is behind our palace. This well has no water and is so deep that nobody can escape once he falls into it. Fill the well with earth. Let me see how Vidwan escapes a live-burial by his will power!" The king burst into a big laughter. Immediately, the soldiers took Vidwan and threw him into the well. Vidwan could not understand what to do but wanted to survive. He believed that he will find some way to escape death.

"Where there is will, there is a way" :

Meanwhile, the soldiers started filling the well with soil. When the soil fell on him, suddenly an idea flashed in Vidwan's mind. When the soil poured on

him, he shook the soil off his body and stood on it.

Shake off and step up ...

Every time a heap of soil was thrown on him, he shook it off and stepped up on it! To fight the panic in himself, he kept saying to himself 'Shake off and step up ... Shake off and step up!" He chanted it like a mantra.

When the well was filled up, the soldiers were surprised to see Vidwan standing on the heap of soil. A soldier ran and told the about the entire happening. The perplexed king came to the well to see Vidwan.

Vidwan wins :

Exhausted and tired Vidwan said to the king, "I am alive, Sir, because I wanted to live!"

The amazed king embraced the minister and said, "Yes, You are right You have taught me the greatest lesson of my life."

MORAL OF THE STORY

  2. If you have a 'will' to win, you will find a way.

In studies :

for that.
