DOCK, ROOSTER AND A FOX
Tiger and Murga:
A man had an Alsatian dog called Tiger and a rooster called Murga. The two were thick friends. When the man died, they were left master-less. They decided to travel away together.
They take rest on a safe tree :
At nightfall, they reached a forest. They searched for a shelter and selected a tree whose trunk was hollowed four feet above the ground with enough space and safety for Tiger to sleep.
Murga flew up the tree and perched himself on the branch and Tiger jumped into the space in the trunk and slept there. Tiger was very tired, so he fell into a deep sleep.
Murga crows in the morning :
When the morning dawned, Murga could not resist crowing very loudly. Everybody in the nearby area.
A fox, whose name was Siar, who living nearby. On hearing the crowing of Murga, Siar's tongue salivated. "I am more intelligent than a rooster. I will trick him to come to the ground and then eat him." he thought.
Siar tried to lure Murga :
Siar came running to lure Murga to come down so that he can eat him. He found Murga still busy in crowing. Siar said from below the tree, "You have a great voice indeed! It is so sweet! I want to be your friend. Please come down."
Murga reads Siar's evil design :
Murga was intelligent enough to understand Siar's plan. He said, "O Fox Babu, you come up instead." "How can I ? I do not have wings to fly so cannot go up the tree."
"If so, please jump into that hollow of the tree." Murga pointed to the hollow of the tree where Tiger was having sound sleep. "I will also descend down into it."
Siar was killed for his crooked plans :
From the ground Siar looked up at the hollowed tree trunk. He could not see Tiger, the mighty dog.
"OK," said Siar. He took one big leap and landed I the hollowed-space, in fact he fell on the sleeping Tiger.
Tiger woke up angrily, caught hold of the neck of Siar and tore him to pieces.
MORAL OF THE STORY
Look "WELL" before you "Leap"Otherwise even a weak adversary can destroy you.
