THE BIGGER YOU ARE- THE MORE HUMBLE YOU MUST BE

COCONNUT TREE,MANGO TREE AND GRASS PLANT

The three friends : 

There were three friends : a coconut tree, a mango tree and a grass plant. They gossipped together everyday. Once the coconut tree boasted "I am the tallest and most powerful out of us three."


Other two did not say anything. After a few days some men came in the afternoon. They sat down under the shade of the mango tree. One man said, "See the coconut trees! It is so tall but, what is the use? It can not give shade to any one!!" 

The proudy coconut tree learns a lesson :   

The mango tree and the grass looked at the coconut tree, who was ashamed of its boasting.

"Sorry" ,the coconut tree said.

 "So, now you understand that I am the most powerful among all of us, is not it?" said the mango tree. "My size is so big with which none of you can compare at all!

Other two kept their head hanging with inferiority complex. Thereafter, the the mango tree behaved like a big brother. Days Passed by.

The big mango tree needed to bow down more : 


After a few days a severe storm set in. In that storm the big mango tree got the maximum pressure due to its big size and uprooted. As it died it said to the other friends, "Whatever I thought to have made me boast killed me - My big size!! Had I been more humble and come down more near to the earth, I would have survived the storm. My humbleness was not sufficient with respect to my size. . so I die now. Never boast my friends." 

The coconut tree loses his humility : 

Yet the coconut tree did not learn a lesson. "Whatever it is, you (grass) can never be as tall as I am."

No sooner he said this, a gush of stormy wind set in and the coconut tree was uprooted. The storm became more and more severe. 

Yet nothing happened to the grass.  

The storm could not do any harm to grass :

As the coconut tree died. The storm could do no harm to the grass.  

MORAL OF THE STORY

  1. If you are big, you need to be more humble.  
  2. If you are not sufficiently humble, one day you will be bundled out by a storm  
  3. Stoop to conquer.  

In studies :

  1. If you study better, you must also be more humble.  
  2. If you are not sufficiently humble, you will face terrible problems in studies.
